- Hey Maxy. I went through (as you can probably see) and sorted the comments from the brainstorming pages into their respective discussion pages. I know they weren't very cluttered and probably didn't need it, but it seemed like a good chance to prevent a lot of future clutter. When you get time, could you (or anyone) take a look at it and make sure I didn't screw anything up? I don't mean syntax. I'm just worried I made the pages confusing or something.

- It occurs to me that it isn't immediately obvious to newcomers how to get to the FAQ page. (Documentation->FAQs) Would linking to it on the global navigation panel or the bottom of the main page help? DementedSnake 09:10, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

- I looked into it. I'm by no means an expert, but I try to use mildy paranoid security practices. I posted my response, although I don't know if it's what you wanted. I think it may have been posted twice. The post count went from 9 to 11, but I can't see any changes in that thread. http://forum.intilinux.com/mypaint-development-and-suggestions/portable-version-of-mypaint/ Hopefully, this will be resolved within a few days. I don't think any of you would slip malicious code into the program, but accidents and other malware do happen. Probably false positives though. --DementedSnake 02:35, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

-Saw my RSS feed of the wiki and had a thought. There are lots of new users with gibberish names (probably bots) that make new accounts nearly every day. There are like a hundred of them right now. What happens if the owner of the bots decides to have them all post spam at the same time? Would setting the site to automatically disable accounts that haven't made any changes or posted anything be a good idea? Just to be safe, you could have the site ignore new accounts for a few weeks after they're made. Then, if after weeks or a month of them being made, they haven't done anything, they get automatically disabled. Such a system would prevent future massive floods of spam and vandalism from old bots. It's probably unnecessary, but I like the precaution. --DementedSnake 16:05, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

That may be a good idea, but I don't know if MediaWiki supports this. For now, I change the captcha, maybe that stops them for a moment. --maxy 17:14, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
