[edit] What?
[edit] General
Integration of my boot branch. I hope it will finally get in. --Lukacu 12:33, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Interface
Progress bar. This work is connected to the backend refactoring, because better progress feedback would be needed. Also a clever approach would make it possible to have a non-lockable interface while saving (I think it is possible). --Lukacu 12:33, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- If a non-lockable interface while saving does turn out to be possible, we should think about autosave, too; it always brings down my blood pressure considerably :) Tina Russell 00:38, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
- I think the underlying problem is that save/load is too slow; and there is quite some room for improvement there. Non-locking save would still be cool, but IMO much harder to do cleanly and without provoking ugly bugs. --maxy 19:36, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
Tablet UI My most important beef with MyPaint—which I’ve found, for the most part, wonderful—is the lack of any tablet PC-friendly UI. Basic tasks such as zoom and undo are relegated to drop-down menus. (Besides, even non-tablet PC users expect that sort of stuff to be up front and visible.) I really like the Brainstorming/UI#TabletPC Support mockup on the UI Brainstorm; I’d love for something like that to be a focus of the next version. Tina Russell 00:38, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Backend
Integration of libora (has to be finished first). --Lukacu 12:33, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
Refactoring to make image storage more memory efficient. --Lukacu 12:33, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
[edit] When?
I vote for half a year with some intermediate releases (the main reason is that I will not have much time for two months now). --Lukacu 12:34, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
