From MyPaint

I was thinking of requesting guide lines and borders to form an outline of the picture.

But on reflection I thought it was probably more practical to draw the guide outline using a SVG tool such as Inkscape and import the outline as a bitmap to MyPaint, drawing the picture on a layer above the bitmap. I can do this by exporting as a bitmap from the SVG tool but it would be nice to be able to load a SVG file directly into MyPaint.

It would also be nice to nominate a layer as a template layer and be able to switch it to overlay all the other layers and then hide it again.
